No Bollywood Romance for Britney

Start drying your eyes and brushing up on your pick-up lines, boys: despite a report by the UK’s The Daily Mirror, it seems Britney Spears does not have a new boyfriend.

On that note, the Britster also did not fly to India over Christmas to be with alleged Bollywood boyfriend Sandip Soparrkar, who was inaccurately named as the choreographer of her “Womanizer” video (dance moves were instead coordinated by longtime choreographer Andre Fuentes).

“Britney is not in India,” a source tells E! News, with another source calling the story, “a total fabrication.” All signs point to Britney spending Christmas at home in L.A. with her two sons Jayden and Sean.

2008 was such a whirlwind year for Britney’s music. There is no better time to sit back and reflect than now, with 2009 right around the corner. Here is a quick little recap of ALL the amazing things Britney did in her professional music career this year.

In the very beginning of the year, Britney’s third single ‘Break the Ice’ from her fifth studio album Blackout was released. The song reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. The music video debuted on TRL on March 17 featuring a very sexy anime version of Brit.

Britney’s Still Got It – Ranks Top on Year-End Lists

Personal troubles or no, Britney Spears is still the hottest human being on Planet Earth, according to USA Today’s annual Celebrity Heat Index, which measures how much exposure a star gets in print and online.

Brit got more media attention than anyone else for 11 weeks this year, meaning she earned the top spot on the index for the second year in a row. That coverage included everything from her infamous breakdown last January to her best-selling album, just released on Dec. 2.

It’s just another feather in Britney’s cap, following her selection by PEOPLE readers as having the “best comeback” of 2008 as well as being the “most talked about celebrity.”

Nipping at Spears’s heels on the index were Angelina Jolie (No. 2), Jennifer Aniston (No. 3) and the man they have in common, Brad Pitt. Paris Hilton and Anna Nicole Smith, meanwhile, dropped out of the Top 10 altogether.

Britney And Justin Duet? Britney’s Ex-Choreographer Brian Friedman Says There’s Still A Possibility

Brian Friedman has revealed touring with Britney Spears was the best party of his life. The X Factor choreographer worked with the star before she had her breakdown.

“She’s in a really good mental and physical state. She’s ready to take over the world. She’s now referred to as the Queen of Pop - she’s not the Princess of Pop anymore.”

The former backing dancer also feels a duet between between Britney and her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake could be on the cards.

He said: “I really hope so. There’s been a lot of talk about it. I know Britney’s keen, it’s bound to happen in time. We’ll just have to wait. They’ll become the King and Queen of Pop for real!”

MTV Names “Britney: For the Record” Preview Top Story of 2008

We get it. You can’t get enough of “Twilight” or Britney Spears. And if the producers of the teen vamp flick had cast the Circus ring-mistress in their movie — we could have all gone home early every night instead of staying here and racking our brains to figure out how to give you more of what you crave.

But, based on our list of the most-viewed MTV News videos of 2008, those weren’t the only hot topics of the year. Rumor: Britney Spears Hair Extensions Line

Britney’s become an expert on weaves, wigs and extensions,” an insider revealed in the January 5 issue of the National Enquirer. “That’s what gave her the idea to launch her own product line.”

“There was a time when Britney dreaded having to wear a wig or extensions whenever she went out in public, but now she’s gotten hooked on them because they’re so much easier than dealing with cuts, coloring and styling.”

“She’s eager to prove that in addition to being a world-class entertainer, she’s also a shrewd businesswoman.”

Sources say the collection will debut in stores just in time for the March 2009 launch of Britney’s upcoming Circus World Tour. In fact, the 27-year-old is already consulting with celebrity hair maven Kim Vo, who may assist with the launch.

“The project is still in its early stages, but Britney is getting involved in the entire process – from manufacturing to marketing and distribution.”

Outselling by just 100 copies the second place, Britney Spears latest album ‘Circus’ grabbed number #1 spot on The United World Albums Chart.

The second place, is to another ‘Circus’ — british band Take That climbed from #3 last week to #2, as Britney Spears, that spent two week at #2 managed to get #1 as there wasn’t any japanese debut for the week.

Britney’s ‘Circus’ already sold 1,6 million copies worldwide, and 412,000 copies the third week, As for U.S. charts, the album caught #4 position selling 196,000 copies on The U.S. Billboard Hot 200 Albums, placing Beyonce’ one-spot down and losing #1 to Taylor Swift and #2 and #3 spots to Keyshia Cole and Jamie Foxx both debuting albums last week.
